"MegaLive Youth" June: Promoting the digital economy - spreading entrepreneurial spirit

From June 14th to 20th, the "MegaLive Youth" program series for June took place vibrantly and practically to celebrate the 13th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, while also creating a strong impetus for the domestic e-commerce market.

The program, a collaboration between TikTok Shop, the Vietnam Youth Entrepreneurship Support Center (SYS Vietnam), the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDx) under the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade, and MCN DAKE, is a series of "MegaLive for Youth" programs in June, within the framework of the project "Enhancing Digital Business Capacity for 20 Million Vietnamese Youth".

The live streams featured many guests, including Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of eComDx - representing the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy; Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, representative of TikTok in Vietnam; and journalist Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper. In addition, many familiar faces from the TikTok Shop community participated, such as MeSamReview, Bac Lyn, Hanh Nguyen Mikixi, Me va Be Marso, Ngoc Mai Me Moc, Badbie, PicieBabi, GinT, Hanh Sino, along with numerous KOCs and influential content creators in the fields of fashion, family, and childcare. The two main live streams generated impressive revenue.

The program focused on two strategic product categories: summer fashion and products for mothers and babies, with two prominent livestream sessions on the Thành Nesty and Thế Giới Mẹ Bỉm Sữa channels. Throughout the week-long event, numerous brands, retailers, and content creators participated, showcasing products, providing consumer advice, and sharing practical experiences on digital platforms.

Notably, many brands making their debut, such as Bzu Bzu, Magic Gift, and Nesty, made a strong impression right from the first live sessions. Nesty, with its footwear, backpacks, and handbags, alone achieved sales of nearly 7 billion VND in a single live session, demonstrating the strong appeal and potential of Vietnamese products in the e-commerce environment.

Expanding opportunities for young people to access e-commerce in a structured way.

Mr. Bui Huy Hoang - Deputy Director of eComDX, along with two top creators, The World of Mothers and Dr. Lyn, interacted on the youth MegaLive session "Summer Colors for Babies". The live session raised nearly 22 billion VND after 14 hours.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Bui Huy Hoang emphasized that the synchronized participation of digital platforms, content creator communities, businesses, and youth support organizations is opening up many opportunities for young people to access e-commerce in a more professional and systematic way. He highly appreciated the close cooperation between TikTok Shop, SYS Vietnam, and MCN DAKE in partnering with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, contributing to promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the e-commerce market. Such activities not only promote e-commerce activities according to new models but also have great social significance, creating motivation for businesses and young entrepreneurs to build brands and become part of today's digital economy.

Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, TikTok representative in Vietnam; and journalist Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, participated in the youth MegaLive session on the Thanh Nesty TikTok channel. All proceeds from this MegaLive session were donated by the Thanh Nesty TikTok channel and participating brands to the "Thuy's Dream" fund launched by Tuoi Tre Newspaper.

Promoting a healthy and sustainable digital economy.

According to the organizers, "MegaLive for Youth" is not simply a sales promotion activity, but also a practical environment for content creators, sellers, and young entrepreneurs to gain experience in operating online stores, livestreaming, content creation, and personal brand development. The MegaLive for Youth program will continue to be held monthly, with a specific theme for each industry, aiming to create more practical opportunities for young people interested in online business, while also supporting businesses in expanding their operations in the digital environment.

MegaLive sessions are run by a professional support team from TikTok Shop and MCN DAKE.

In the coming period, eComDx, TikTok Shop, and SYS Vietnam will continue to strengthen training and development activities for digital commerce content creators. One of the key focuses is the Celeb Hunting program – seeking and partnering with artists, actors, athletes, and influential individuals to participate in content creation, thereby expanding the "Youth MegaLive" model, promoting the in-depth development of e-commerce, and spreading a healthy and sustainable digital economy spirit.

Representing SYS Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi shared: "Through programs like MegaLive for youth, organizations hope to contribute to the formation of a professional generation of creators who are legally aware, knowledgeable about products, responsible to the community, and capable of creating positive value in the digital business environment."

The MegaLive youth event attracted many Key Opinion Leaders (KOCs) and Top Creators, all with the spirit of promoting the healthy and sustainable development of e-commerce in Vietnam.

The project "Enhancing Digital Business Capabilities for 20 Million Vietnamese Youth," implemented by SYS Vietnam (under the Vietnam Youth Union) in collaboration with TikTok and the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), aims to promote the pioneering spirit of young people in the national digital transformation, in line with Resolution 57 of the Politburo on promoting the application of science and technology in life and Resolution 68 on the development of the private economy. After nearly three years of implementation, the project has reached, motivated, and created jobs and digital livelihoods for hundreds of thousands of young people nationwide.
