Attending the meeting, on the side of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy were Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Director of the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX), along with officials from the Department's and Center's specialized departments. On the side of the China Council for International Trade Promotion was Mr. Jason Xiong, Director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Department, along with representatives from several specialized units of CCPIT.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on their respective strengths and needs, thereby orienting towards enhanced coordination to promote market connectivity, support businesses in both countries in accessing cooperation opportunities, and create conditions for businesses to interact, share, and learn from each other's experiences in e-commerce development.

Representing the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Director of eComDX, proposed several key areas of cooperation in the coming period. Accordingly, the two sides could collaborate on: 1. Organizing specialized seminars on cross-border e-commerce between Vietnam and China; 2. Partnering with companies like ACBC to conduct working visits and study tours to enhance the capacity for developing cross-border e-commerce; 3. Organizing business networking events between the two countries, focusing on specific industries and sectors, through domestic and international trade fairs and exhibitions, either in person or online.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan expressed his belief that the discussions at the meeting would serve as a basis for both sides to further strengthen cooperation in the future. He also emphasized the necessity of sharing information and experiences to support the business community in developing more effectively in the digital environment. The iDEA representative stated their readiness to cooperate and collaborate with CCPIT in researching and implementing appropriate programs, activities, and events to support the business communities of both sides.

On the CCPIT side, Mr. Jason Xiong, Director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the China Council for International Trade Promotion (CCPIT), highly appreciated the potential for cooperation between the two sides and expressed his desire to encourage businesses from both countries to actively participate in trade promotion activities, fairs, exhibitions, and specialized events organized by CCPIT in China and related markets. The CCPIT representative stated that participating in e-commerce events in China would help Vietnamese businesses strengthen supply chain connections, find potential partners, and expand their markets.

In addition, CCPIT stated that it is implementing various activities to support foreign businesses investing and operating in Vietnam, while also researching the investment environment in partner markets to create favorable conditions for Chinese businesses to expand their operations abroad.

Based on that, CCPIT proposed that both sides strengthen the exchange of information on the investment and business environment, share the difficulties faced by businesses, and jointly find effective support solutions, thereby promoting bilateral investment and trade.

Agreeing with the proposals from CCPIT, iDEA representatives affirmed that they always value and wish to strengthen cooperation with central and local authorities in China, including CCPIT, in order to promote the development of e-commerce in a quality, stable, balanced, and sustainable manner, making a positive contribution to the economic growth of each country.

Representatives from the China Council for International Trade Promotion (CCPIT) presented publications on Chinese e-commerce to the Bureau of Electronic Commerce and Digital Economy (iDEA).
In the coming period, both sides agreed to continue to closely coordinate in implementing activities related to e-commerce, supporting business connections, organizing business delegations to participate in trade fairs and exhibitions; and at the same time strengthen the exchange of experience in fields such as import and export through e-commerce, digital payments, logistics, livestream sales, etc.
The meeting affirmed the determination of both sides to promote Vietnam-China e-commerce cooperation, creating a foundation for the development of increasingly deep, effective, and sustainable cooperative relations in the future.
