Da Nang: Training on 'Sustainable E-commerce Human Resources'

Recently, the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), University of Da Nang, in collaboration with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM), organized the "Training Program for E-commerce and Digital Economy Lecturers in 2025" with the theme "Human Resources for Sustainable E-commerce".

The event was organized within the framework of the project "Developing lectures, organizing training and e-commerce events to improve the quality of human resources and develop the market," which is one of the specific activities implementing the National Strategy for the Development of the Digital Economy and Digital Society until 2025, aiming to integrate e-commerce knowledge and skills into teaching while strengthening practical application and the use of digital technology in training.

Overview of the training program

Attending the program, on behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and VECOM were Mr. Tran Van Trong – General Secretary of the Association; Ms. Tran Bich Ngoc – Deputy Head of the Policy Department of the E-commerce and Digital Economy Bureau, Ministry of Industry and Trade; on behalf of VKU, there was Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of the University, more than 70 lecturers and faculty leaders from universities and colleges in the Da Nang area and more than 100 VKU students interested in participating in the program.

In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector of the University – extended a warm welcome to the delegates, speakers, and students in attendance, emphasizing the crucial role of higher education in preparing high-quality human resources for e-commerce. VKU is committed to innovating its curriculum, strengthening cooperation with government agencies and businesses to incorporate practical content and digital technology applications into teaching, and hopes the program will serve as a bridge for educational institutions to share resources and experiences and jointly develop lectures and practical modules that meet market demands.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Tran Van Trong – General Secretary of VECOM – expressed strong support for interdisciplinary and inter-institutional training initiatives to meet the human resource needs of e-commerce in the context of deep integration and digital transformation. He highly appreciated the efforts of VKU, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, and VECOM in organizing the program, and called on universities, colleges, and lecturers to take advantage of this opportunity to update teaching content and methods, and strengthen links with businesses, helping students acquire practical skills, innovative thinking, and the ability to adapt to the increasingly complex e-commerce environment.

The discussions were fascinating across all three sessions.

The training program consists of three thematic sessions focusing on the National E-commerce Development Master Plan for the period 2026–2030, the E-commerce Law (reviewing the period 2016–2025 to identify shortcomings and propose the enactment of a new law to improve the legal framework, ensure transparency and safety for the market), and cooperation in e-commerce training in universities. Educators will share experiences in curriculum design, interdisciplinary course integration, and strengthening ties with businesses to enhance practical skills and professional competence for students. In particular, the program will also include an in-depth discussion on models of cooperation between universities and businesses to enhance practical training, internships, and assessment of learning outcomes based on professional competence.

The "2025 E-commerce and Digital Economy Lecturer Training Program" at VKU is a testament to the continuous efforts to enhance teaching capacity and promote interdisciplinary cooperation between educational institutions, businesses, and management agencies. The event has contributed to concretizing the goals of the National Strategy for Digital Economy Development until 2025, while also providing clear direction for training, standardizing content, and developing high-quality human resources for the e-commerce sector. In the future, the organizing committee will continue to expand cooperation, develop teaching materials, and implement practical training courses, creating a foundation for knowledge dissemination and connecting the lecturer community nationwide.
